Somebody in there?

Today I'm back with some more Bella Blvd, this time the We're Expecting collection.

When Angela was pregnant, she decided to do a photoshoot. Of course Phiene had to be in the photo's too and this is one of my favourite photo's that came out of the shoot.

I thought it would be fun to have the shape of a sonogram in this layout. I made them in 2 different colors, so they would point out well.

I never knew there were 'dots' on the side of every sonogram, but now that I've been kind of studying them, I know LOL. I pointed them out by using big brads over the small paper circles.

I used 2 different designer tapes to frame the photo.

Bella Blvd We're Expecting: Coming Soon, Baby Boy Bump
Bella Blvd Baby Boy: Chipboard Icons, Flag, Miniatures, Alpha + Bits
Bella Blvd Sunshine & Happiness: Alpha + Bits
Bella Blvd Designer Tapes: Yellow Chevron, Teal Stripe
small & big brads

Thanks for stopping by!

Use it Tuesday Challenge #36

It is the 4th Tuesday of the month, so it is time for another challenge at Use it Tuesday!
The challenge is: use your uncut paper! We all have some papers, or entire collections of papers, that we don't dare to cut. Maybe because you're afraid to ruin it or it is just simply to beautiful to cut :-)
Now it is time to grab those long waiting papers and create a beautiful project with it.

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

There is a wall in my living room that has 3 ugly spots from old screws. Now, normaly you could let the entire wall get renewed. Or you can create 3 canvases that cover the ugly spots :-) Of course the last option is what I did!
I had this idea, the 3 canvases and the BoBunny Etc. collection laying around for a very long time and didn't had the guts to start with it. Simply because it had to be done well, it was going to hang in my living room! We're not talking about a layout that you can hide in an album :-) So this challenge was exactly what I needed and I finally created my 3 canvases.

I used the BoBunny Etc. collection. The notes, butterflies, doilies and hearts are made with the Silhouette Cameo. The titles as well (Ali Edwards alphabet), but I outlined them on grungeboard, cut them out, misted them and stamped on them with a Friend-definition stamp. All the edges of the papers are distressed with an edge scraper and walnut stain distress ink. The background of the canvas is made with a chicken wire mask and misting spray.

Play along - Use it Tuesday Challenge #35

It's the 2nd Tuesday of the month, so it is time for a challenge at Use it Tuesday.
The challenge is: use embossing on your layout, card or other project. This can be any sort of embossing, choose whatever you like!

***REMEMBER: All of our challenges call for you to use your hoarded supplies! A challenge requirement is to tell us in your post what you used!***

Here's my layout, using heat-embossing.

I used the embossing powder for the chevron background. I made the pattern with a chevron mask and a Versamark pen. The word 'forever' in the title is embossed as well, I used a stamp for this one.
The papers, alpha and diecuts are from Sassafras and for the background I used Bazzill cardstock Cinder. I also liked to use some big brads, eyelets and some old heart-shaped buttons. They hadn't seen some daylight for a very long time :-)
